The experience with Covid-19 testing in France in early August provided a ghastly warning about testing.

An article in the left-wing Paris paper, Liberation (1), refers to testing centres being overwhelmed, Staff and resources are insufficient, and the demand is crippling. Mass testing may seem desirable, but could just be impractical. Doctors in France are calling for selective rationing of tests,

Why didn't backward Britain not take heed of the grim French example on Covid?

Governments are no better than King Canute, sitting on the beach, and asking for the tide to retreat,

Covid is like a flood nobody can stop.
