This Endgames article (BMJ 2019;367:l6013, doi:10.1136/bmj.l6013) has been corrected to make clear that molluscum contagiosum resolves spontaneously, and in most cases treatment is not necessary.
Molluscum contagiosum is a clinical diagnosis and biopsy is not always required. The article has been corrected to reflect this.
