Covid-19: controlling community outbreaks
Effective notification systems should be streamlined for the pandemic, not discarded

In theory, the UK has a comprehensive notification system, set in statute, whereby all clinically suspected cases of covid-19, as well as laboratory diagnosed cases, should be notified to local public health services. Roderick and colleagues document that this is failing in practice.1
