Roy William Lamb

From 1962 to 1993, Roy William Lamb (“Larry”) was a GP and anaesthetist in Stroud, Gloucestershire. He grew up in the East End of London during the war years and trained at Charing Cross Hospital in the Strand—the first member of his family to access a university education.

Roy served his rural community with great skill and dedication. He provided obstetric care at the maternity hospital, sessions in casualty at the local hospital, and he was a highly skilled GP anaesthetist including for paediatric ear, nose, and throat surgery.
