It is not often that the NHS can celebrate the life of a doctor who had contributed to the NHS in a way few doctors have done. Alfa was originally from Nigeria and had a distinguished 40 year career in the NHS. In addition, he contributed to medicine in Nigeria in numerous ways and was a leading figure in his local community, which led to the award of a chieftaincy.
