Shropshire trust is under threat of special administration as CQC reports “escalating concerns”

A hospital trust embroiled in a police investigation of its maternity services is facing the rare threat of being put into special administration unless it improves patient care throughout its departments.
A Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection of medical wards at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust in early June found “ongoing and escalating concerns” about patient safety and poor care becoming “normalised.”
