We, at Newcastle University Dermatology Society, have planned all events for the foreseeable future to occur via an online platform.1 Our first virtual event will run as a summer crash course series to help medical students in all year groups learn about and revise important terminology and skin conditions.

With the Black Lives Matter campaign dramatically highlighting the lack of diversity in the medical curriculum and the need for a welcome change, the Newcastle University Dermatology Society has incorporated the recognition of different skin conditions in diverse skin types into our summer lecture series. This in turn will ensure we, as future doctors, are able to deliver the same high standard of clinical care to every patient, across all communities.
