Government must amend trade bill to exclude NHS from future deals, doctors say

More than 400 doctors and health professionals have urged the government to accept amendments to its trade bill to ensure that health services are not on the table in future trade deals.
An open letter sent to ministers ahead of a UK parliamentary debate on Monday 20 July on the UK Trade Bill argues that if protection of the NHS were not written into the legislation the health service will be on the table in future trade deals.1
