New GP partners in England can now access “golden hello” of up to £20 000

A new incentive scheme offering new GP partners in England a one off “golden hello” payment of up to £20 000 (€21 000; $25 000) has come into force.
As of 1 July, eligible participants can now access a sum of up to £20 000 (for a full time GP), a contribution towards on-costs (overheads) of up to £4 000 (for a full time GP) to support their establishment as a partner, and up to £3 000 in a training fund to develop non-clinical partnership skills.
