Tri-ratna Man Tuladhar was one of the pioneers of anaesthesiology in Nepal. He was only the second doctor in Nepal to attain the postgraduate fellowship degree in anaesthesia from the royal college in the UK. He returned to his country and developed the then less appreciated specialty, encouraging many others to take up the profession.
