Michael Antony Rollin Taylor was head boy at Holme Valley Grammar School. Before his consultant career at Macclesfield General Hospital, he worked in the department of medicine at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Jamaica, where he lived with his wife, Jackie, and their young children.
