The death of Amged El-Hawrani from covid-19 family, colleagues and the wider ENT community. It became evident during the pandemic that ENT doctors were at particular risk of covid-19 infection. Amged died after three traumatic weeks in critical care. He was considered by the NHS to be one of the first UK frontline doctors to die during the pandemic.
