Re: Pernicious anaemia

Dear Editor
It is terrible to expect patients to suffer having treatment denied . Symptoms can worsen rapidly and take much longer to recover from them to reappear . Many patients are busy mum's , key workers , carers and cannot afford to be bad sudden with pain , fatigue and neuro symptoms . It's time the UK joined other countries in having injectable b12 available over the counter so people can tailor treatment to their needs . And a panel of b12d patients and Drs have a day in deciding treatment guidelines as it very clear most medical practitioners are ignorant regarding this potentially fatal condition .
