Half of smokers think nicotine vaping products are at least as harmful as smoking

Deaths from vaping in the US have led over half (56%) of smokers in England to believe that nicotine vaping products are as harmful as smoking (42%) or more so (14%), despite those deaths being caused by substances that are banned in the UK.1
The report from researchers at King’s College, London, commissioned by Public Health England, looked at the use of nicotine vaping products among young people and adults, as well as public perceptions of the harmfulness of vaping.
