Thank you for publishing Dr Tsunoda and Dr Endo's article on nasal pain with bullae due to herpes simplex infection. It is a good illustration of the problems associated with recurrent herpes simplex infection in the immunosuppressed. I should take this opportunity to point out that the patient remains at risk of a further recurrence as she needs long term oral steroids for her Behcet's disease and prophylactic aciclovir should be considered to prevent them.
