Government orders urgent review of date rape drugs

The UK government has asked the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) to urgently review the classification and scheduling of γ-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), γ-butyrolactone (GBL), and closely related compounds after the sentencing of a prolific rapist.
