Thyroid disease assessment and management: summary of NICE guidance

In this article by Vasileiou and colleagues (BMJ 2020;368:m41, doi:10.1136/bmj.m41), the third bullet point in the “What you need to know” box has been slightly reworded to more accurately reflect the original NICE guidance. The bullet point now reads: "Natural thyroid extract is not recommended and liothyronine (alone or in combination with levothyroxine) is not routinely recommended for treating people with primary hypothyroidism.”
