The government has ordered NHS England and NHS Improvement to commission an urgent inquiry into a hospital trust accused of subjecting staff to a “witch hunt” to try to identify a whistleblower.1
Edward Argar, minister of state at the Department of Health and Social Care, has told the two organisations to ask an independent expert to carry out a rapid and independent review into the way West Suffolk NHS Trust handled the whistleblower case.
