A junior doctor who worked in paediatrics before his arrest and conviction for downloading child pornography has been struck off the UK medical register.

Ralph Harper, 32, pleaded guilty last March to multiple charges of making indecent photographs. He admitted downloading 36 videos involving children, of which 21 were in the most serious “A” category, which specifies penetrative sex, bestiality, or sadism.
