Re: The burning building
Will this be the turning of the tide for the NHS? It takes a crisis to create a true leveller. Is this the start of new ways of working? Of new attitudes to those who are paid minimum wage to care? Those healthcare workers who are on the front line - do they get to go to a food bank tonight after the saved lives? Will they be sleeping in makeshift beds, too scared to go home to their loved ones in case they pass on the virus?
Or will we actually learn to appreciate them and understand that we all have a job to do, we all have a role to play? When it comes to the wire, the wealthy, the famous, the poor, the weak - we are all the same. We are all vulnerable. In our hour of need, who are those who have stepped forward? Don't forget them when this is over.
