Canadian pharmacist receives award for standing up to campaigners over unproven cancer treatment

A Canadian community pharmacist has been recognised by the UK charity Sense About Science for enduring a “barrage of harassment” from alternative practitioners when he persisted in speaking out against their lobbying of the Quebec government to gain “approval and reimbursement” for an unproven therapy—high dose vitamin C injections—as an alternative treatment for cancer.
