I don’t feel too good
That may be so, but new figures from the Office for National Statistics1 (ONS) show that in the UK, sickness absence among normally healthy employees fell to 1.1% last year, the lowest rate since records began and down from 2.2% in 1997.
That’s a lot fewer sick days
Indeed. In 2018, the figures show that UK residents took 141.4 million days off work because of sickness or injury—equivalent to 4.4 days per worker. …
