General practices in England with higher capitation funding consistently received higher ratings in regulatory inspections by the Care Quality Commission over a three year period, a study has found.1 Higher capitation funding was associated with higher ratings across all areas measured by the CQC and in the overall rating that practices received, the research published in BMJ Open found.
