All inpatients with learning disabilities or autism to have case review in next 12 months, says health secretary

The government has announced that all inpatients with learning disabilities or autism in mental health hospitals in England will have their care reviewed over the next 12 months.
Every patient will be given a date for discharge or a clear explanation where this is not appropriate, the health and social care secretary, Matt Hancock, pledged.
