California’s medical board investigates doctors who write many vaccine exemptions

A San Diego physician who writes hundreds of medical vaccination exemptions a year has become the third doctor to be charged with negligence over the practice by the Medical Board of California.
Tara Zandvliet failed to adequately document her claim of adverse medical history in exempting a young girl, the complaint against her alleges.
Also facing charges from the board is the paediatrician Robert Sears, a well known author whose books, written under the name “Dr Bob,” include his own alternative and selective vaccine schedules.
Zandvliet has granted 1000 exemptions since 2016, the complaint alleges. That year, California outlawed exemption requests that were based on a patient’s personal belief, and a doctor’s letter became the only legal way to avoid childhood …
