Leaders responsible for sexist culture at BMA should consider quitting, says doctor

One of the doctors who raised the issue of sexism at the BMA has called for those responsible for the behaviour or for perpetuating it to consider leaving their posts to allow a culture change at the association.

The review, led by Daphne Romney QC, revealed a culture in which women (doctors and staff) at the BMA were bullied, undermined, and in some cases sexually harassed. It criticised the discriminatory culture at the BMA and the leadership for failing to call out bad behaviour.1
