The cofounder of the campaign group Doctors for Extinction Rebellion1 has called on the General Medical Council to support doctors taking direct action against climate change, following a protest in Westminster last week.
Chris Newman, a GP in north London and cofounder of Doctors for XR, was one of several doctors who scaled and then glued themselves to the building of the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy on 25 September.
