GP is struck off after writing to colleague’s patients claiming she had treated them inappropriately

A GP has been struck off the UK medical register after writing letters to six of his practice partner’s patients alleging that she had used a contraindicated disinfectant in their vaginas while inserting a contraceptive coil.

Frank Kwame Hlordzi, a GP principal at the Clayhill Medical Practice in Basildon, was motivated by a “desire to avenge what he considered to be wrongdoing committed against him,” a medical practitioners tribunal found.

His relationship with certain colleagues broke down, and the working atmosphere became “toxic and dysfunctional,” which may not have been entirely Hlordzi’s fault, said Geoffrey Payne, chairing the tribunal in Manchester.
