Pension crisis: trusts take matters in their own hands
Re: The fight to end the pension tax trap continues- Proposed changes should apply immediately to avoid a Winter Crises.
The planned/proposed Government measures to alleviate this problem will need to be made retrospectively to the 2019/2020 tax year to avoid a crises this Winter.
At present, no changes have been made for the current tax year, so many of us (especially full time, senior consultants) still can't do additional sessions without being penalised.
This was both predictable and predicted by many...so a very disappointing response from Government so far....words but no significant actions.
Very sad for our patients we look after, our junior doctor colleagues we mentor and our teams we work with..
