Locally adapted QOF led to improvements in patient care for long term conditions

The introduction of a local Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) alternative in Somerset led to more patient centred care and increased multidisciplinary team working, a new study has found.1

By removing unhelpful QOF components, the alternative scheme allowed GP practices to engage in other schemes aimed at improving care for people with long term conditions.
