Research England will stop favouring physical over mental health in its funding calculations

Research England has announced it will change the weighting of its funding calculations to put mental health research on a par with research into physical health.1
The body previously calculated funding using an equation that multiplied the final cost by 1.6 for research into physical health and 1.42 for mental health research.2
