In a Minerva picture article ‘Phototoxic reaction to ciprofloxacin’ (BMJ 2019;365:12413 doi:10.1136/bmj.l2413) ciprofloxacin was incorrectly referred to as a macrolide antibiotic. The article should have read: ‘Phototoxic reactions to ciprofloxacin and other quinolone antibiotics occur more frequently with higher dosage and greater sunlight intensity.’
