Malala Yousafzai: lack of female representation in top positions is a global issue

The Nobel peace laureate Malala Yousafzai has said that women, including female doctors, need to break gender stereotypes and tackle their own insecurities to enter more senior positions.

Speaking at the annual scientific meeting of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons held in Birmingham on 3 July, Yousafzai also spoke fondly of the time she had spent in hospital in the city.
