More doctors should get involved in politics and run to be members of parliament, says Sarah Wollaston, MP and chair of the Health and Social Care Committee.

Speaking at the Royal College of Psychiatrists International Congress in London on 1 July, she urged doctors to “go further” into the political sphere and make their voices and the voices of their patients heard.
