Cognitive impairment after coronary artery bypass surgery

A systematic review and meta-analysis of 91,829 patients operated for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) concluded that cognitive impairment increased and was seen in nearly 40% of patients between 1 and 5 years post-operatively.
Furthermore, post-operative delirium was apparent in 24% of CABG patients.
