Satisfaction with hospital care falls as pressure mounts on NHS, finds CQC

Satisfaction among hospital patients in England has stalled or fallen across many key indicators, show the results of a survey by the Care Quality Commission.

The healthcare sector regulator’s annual survey of hospital inpatients found that in July 2018 most people had confidence in the doctors and nurses treating them and thought that staff answered their questions clearly.1 However, in comparison with the 2017 results, more people reported lengthy delays, greater dissatisfaction with the amount of information provided when leaving hospital, and a lack of involvement in their care.
