The NHS has agreed to a clinical negligence pay-out that could total £26m (€29.2m; $33m) for failings at the birth of a boy who will “forever remain a child.”
That total, one of the highest NHS settlements, will be reached if the 8 year old boy lives to his late 70s, as experts predict.
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has admitted liability for errors at his birth in March 2011, and the settlement has been approved by the High Court.
