GP who was secretly filmed taking pills from stock cupboard is suspended for a year

A locum GP who was filmed by a hidden camera removing pills from the medication stock cupboard of an out-of-hours service has been suspended from the UK medical register for 12 months.
Sandra Jackson told a colleague that she was “going to get some Clexane” (enoxaparin sodium) but instead removed a box of codeine from the cupboard at the BrisDoc out-of-hours unit at Cossham Hospital in Bristol in September 2015.
After advice from the police, a hidden camera had been installed after drug audits had identified shortfalls of the sleeping pill zopiclone. Some of these shortfalls had occurred when Jackson was not working there.
