Opioids: new toolkit aims to help GPs manage long term use

GPs must act urgently to taper or reduce dosages of opioids for patients with long term prescriptions, researchers have said.1
The call to action came from researchers at the University of East Anglia, who have created a new toolkit to help GPs do this. Its recommendations were based on research evidence and the experiences of healthcare organisations and doctors.
