Re: Government is “losing its grip” of cancer screening services, say MPs
Yet again a high uptake of screening is used as a measure of success in the government's screening programme. It has been acknowledged that there is no evidence that, for example, screening for breast cancer reduces all-cause mortality. Why not change the criteria for success to the number of women who make a decision on screening based on full unbiased information?
