GPs in deprived areas face severest pressures, analysis shows

General practices in deprived areas are being disproportionately affected by “a mounting cycle of pressures” driven by workforce shortages and higher patient volumes, the Health Foundation has found.1

Its analysis concluded that GPs in the most deprived areas faced a higher workload, which was increasing the inequality in healthcare provision.
