Drugs could be exported for profit in a no deal Brexit, warn industry bosses

Pharmaceutical industry bosses fear that stockpiles of drugs held in the UK could be sold overseas in the event of a post-Brexit slump in the pound.

Unless the government steps in to ban such exports if there is a no deal Brexit, they warn that there will be huge profits to be made selling UK drug stocks elsewhere in Europe.

The risk would affect all drugs currently stored in the UK, not just those manufactured in the UK.
