Physician associates cannot meet their full potential without regulation, the Nuffield Trust think tank has said.
After a consultation last year the Department of Health and Social Care said that physician associates would be regulated in a similar way to doctors and nurses.1 Since then, however, no obvious movement has been made towards introducing that regulation.
