More than two thirds of medical students cut down spending on essentials, survey finds

Seven out of 10 UK medical students are cutting down on essentials such as heating, food, or professional clothes in order to economise, a BMA survey has suggested.1

Some 639 medical students were polled in the latest survey, published on 16 January. The proportion spending less on essentials was 70% (449 of 637 respondents).
