Zika warnings eased around the world as growing immunity brings lower risk

The World Health Organization has said that it will relax its Zika travel recommendations in the coming weeks, days after the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) eased warnings which at various times have advised pregnant women or those seeking to become pregnant to avoid 88 countries.1

The changes are similar to those announced in February by Public Health England and the National Travel Health Network and Centre.2
