The UK government must take immediate steps to mitigate the “devastating” effect that Brexit may have on delivering healthcare in the UK and particularly the unique situation in Northern Ireland, local medical committee (LMC) leaders have urged.
The call was made in a motion passed unanimously by the annual conference of UK LMCs, held in Belfast on 20 March. It was proposed by a Northern Ireland GP, Frances O’Hagan, who highlighted the particularly serious problems facing GPs in the province. …
