Renal denervation achieves sustained blood pressure reduction, finds trial

Endovascular ultrasound renal denervation, a one-off procedure targeting the nerves in the renal arteries, maintains lower blood pressure (BP) in patients with moderate hypertension at six months compared with patients given a sham procedure, a randomised trial has shown.1
