BMA backs doctors fighting government over “discriminating” NHS pension scheme

The BMA is to support doctors intending to sue the government because it believes that many were forced to join a pension scheme that will make them worse off when they retire.
Solicitors for the BMA have written to England’s health secretary, Matt Hancock, warning him of the intention to take legal action. Letters have also been sent to the Scottish and Northern Ireland governments.
