What a lovely personal case study, Jenny.

Did you know that some non-conventional cycles are also being used to enable people who cannot themselves manage to control a cycle to experience the joy of being out in the open air, pedalled by an able bodied companion. There are some formal schemes where care home residents are taken out on rides.

It's also worth mentioning that electrically assisted tricycles and indeed bicycles are another option that can enable people to have independent mobility, as they can often then cycle further or faster or up hills that would otherwise be too challenging. There is huge potential for so many people who are simply unaware of the range of cycles available today.
