MPs slam “outrageous” 25% uptake of flu vaccine among social care staff

MPs have criticised the low uptake of flu vaccination among staff in social care settings, putting it at best around 25%, far lower than the rate among frontline NHS staff.1

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee carried out an inquiry into uptake after the high burden of flu seen in 2017-18, high numbers of hospital admissions, and evidence of variable uptake of the flu vaccine.
